A TABLE signature product, our placemats are colourful, multifunctional creations that will bring a touch of colour to your home. Under your plate for lunch, in the centre of the table for an aperitif or even hung on the wall, these placemats have a unique decorative aspect that stands on its own to brighten up your everyday life.
Our placemats are woven in Ghana by a cooperative of women artisans, who guarantee quality supplies and respect for workers' rights. These craftswomen practise an ancestral weaving technique using elephant straw and their own ‘rhythm and flow’. Each placemat is woven directly by hand by these women. Each curve is the handprint or signature of the weaver.
We have developed a range of 14 colours. Each stalk of elephant straw is hand-dyed one by one and then dyed. There are 9 colours for the large placemats and 3 other colours for the trivets.
